Our summer will kick off with two Mega All-Day Juggling Camps (June 14-15), which are recommended only for Jugheads with past camp or club experience. Lunch and five snack/beverage items per day are provided at these two all-day camps. Thereafter, six weeks of half-day camps are offered. The morning sessions (9 pm–Noon) are focused on beginning/intermediate jugglers, while the afternoons (1 pm–4 pm) are focused on advanced/expert jugglers (e.g, self-directed and working on JH club standards, routines, numbers juggling, club passing, etc.). Use of equipment and two snack/beverage items per half-day camp are included in the tuition. (Kids staying all day may have an extra snack/beverage item w/ their bag lunch.) REGISTRATION OPTIONS: Kids may sign up for a week of morning or afternoon sessions according to their skill level. Kids signing up for a week of morning AND afternoon sessions during the same week have the option eating bag lunches with other Jugheads from Noon–1 pm. Summer Punchcards are available in half-day increments of 1, 5, 10, 20, and 30 punches. Punchcards are valid June 14-July 23 and may be shared by siblings, allowing for maximum flexibility. (Punchcard attendance is kept on a master list; therefore, there is not a physical card you child will need to bring each day.) The Summer Juggling Season Pass is for committed jugglers wanting to juggle for six straight weeks—all morning and afternoon camps from June 14-July 23 which includes both Mega All-Day Juggling Camps. LEADERSHIP: Paul Arneberg, Scott Richter and Billy Watson will be the coaches leading the summer juggling camps. On most days (but not all), Paul will be the primary coach in charge. In addition to the coaches, two or three varsity-level assistants will be staffed at every morning and afternoon camp, making for low coach-student ratios and diverse teaching styles. These veteran Jughead teens have experience and skills in instruction, passing, and mentorship, and are a valuable resource for campers of every age and ability level. STRUCTURE: Coach Paul kicks off every camp morning with a group meeting at 9:10 am, during which introductions are made, skills are demonstrated, goals are set, and records are shared. We take group snack breaks at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, during which we study juggling videos and occasionally watch live performances by campers working on routines. Our juggling camps are “continuous progress” —beginners aren’t pushed too hard, and experts aren’t held back. The effort put into camp largely equals what a student gets out of camp.
