Elite Club
Grades 6-12. Limit: 25-30 kids.
Tuesdays 2:45-6:00 pm

This coed club represents a significant milestone achievement for many advanced-expert Jugheads. Snack discussions, intense warm-ups, years-long friendships and rousing contests and games define this weekly haven for teens and pre-teens. Once standards are met, admittance is contingent of space.

Boys EliteClub runs every Tuesday from 2:45 - 6pm when Edina school is in session.

How can my child join a JUGHEADS club or camp? Contact Paul (jugheads@comcast.net or 952.926.0896) or if your child has the director's approval, you can register online.

Technical Juggling Standards (updated Fall 2007):

  1. 100 dominant hand throws (DHT) with 4 balls
  2. 5 tricks with 4 balls
  3. 50 with 7 ball passing
  4. 20 with 8 ball passing
  5. 50 with 5 balls
  6. 30 DHT with 4 rings
  7. 30 with 7 ring passing
  8. 10 tricks with 3 clubs
  9. 100 with 6 club passing
  10. 5 tricks with 6 club passing
  11. 10 with 7 club passing
  12. 10 DHT with 4 clubs
  13. 10 seconds with club balance (chin, nose, forehead)
  14. Mastery of at least two auxiliary props
  15. Qualify 5 rings

Commitment Standards:

  1. Commitment to juggle outside of club time, whether at home, camp, or elsewhere.
  2. Achievement of a new endurance record each and every month of the school year.
  3. Join the International Jugglers' Association (IJA) at www.juggle.org for $23/year. [www.juggle.org]

NOTE: If a standard is not met, the Jughead must at least achieve 50% of that standard. As a "make-up," the Jughead must double two other standards or quadruple one other standard. For example, if only 5 DHT with 4 clubs has been achieved, the Jughead could make up for this shortfall by getting 20 with 7 club passing and getting 60 with 4 rings -OR-getting 200 with 5 balls (quadrupling the Elite standard of 50 catches). Even with this "make-up," however, the Jughead is subject to being passed over for membership in favor of other Jugheads who have met every standard.
